I’ve been a member of CAUCE for more than a decade, a participating member of the Task Force On Spam and a supporter of the anti-spam movement in Canada.
I therefore condemn unsolicited advertisements and ask that the offending posts be deleted immediately.
Any post originating from outside Canada and on an internet provider other than Bell or Sympatico should also result in a complaint to the post’s author’s internet provider as fraudulent.
The troll is in his dying breaths but he’s such an idiot that he doesn’t know it yet.
He is currently stalking me from video to video trying to outrace the truth about how he had been suspended three times in the past two months by Youtube for numerous violations including :
Spamming – 2010 Olympic Commercials
Harassment – Multiple users including yours truly
Impersonation – “canucktoons” account
Threats – saying he would ruin my reputation with Youtube
He has lied about me being a sealer. I live in Ottawa.
He had lied about statements i’ve never made, something he regularly did with other people when their actual response wasn’t convenient for his arguments and stereotypes.
He had lied about having evidence that I work for the government. I have never worked for the government, nor are my close family employed in public service.
He has lied about me being a spammer and troll. I have an impeccable record with Youtube since joining in 2006 and I have been a member of CAUCE for over a decade.
He has lied about my use of my second account and have no other accounts other than my primary and secondary accounts on Youtube.
His statements about having debunked anything are pure fantasy, as his arguments are simply propagandist statements and personal attacks.
His record speaks for itself. The issue is closed.
Sea Shepherd likes to accuse everyone of ramming them.
They accused Japan ships of ramming the Ady Gill a few weeks back and accused the Canadian Coast Guard of ramming the Farley Mowat last year, the later resulting in the arrest and conviction of several of their members.
And now they’re back with more claims about how yet another one of their ships, The Bob Barker, has been rammed by the Japanese.
Well, which party openly gives itself credit for ramming other ships ? Which party actually bombed and sank ships ? Which party was labeled as an eco-terrorist group by the FBI for doing the later ?
Enough with the masturbatory rhetoric Sea Shepherd.
According to this activist, “European countries have already banned Canadian food from import in 2009″.
Oh really now ?
That’s quite interesting because on July 1st, 2009 Canada entered into a free trade agreement with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland (Press Release) and on January 18th a second round of negotiations towards a free trade agreement with the rest of the EU started (press release).
I guess that’s what happens when overzealous activists skim news releases.

Aren’t the anti-sealing activists witty to have noticed that Sarah Palin and Sarah Green have the same first name ? As witty as the republican supporters who noticed Obama and Osama are similar.
But then what else is to be expected from people who don’t know a throat from a flipper :
This Windsor, Ontario based activist claims to have been involved in protests for years yet thinks that sealers slit the throats of seals to later skin them alive, after they’ve been bled out for sixty seconds.
Apparently she hadn’t heard that IFAW recommended that the seals be exsanguinated on page 11 and 12 of their March 2001 veterinary report and that the arteries underneath the front seal flipper are cut for this to happen, as stipulated on this Department of Fisheries 2009 document.
As you can see by the 2009 DFO document that it is a condition of licensing to not only bleed out seals for a minimum of one minute but to do so after tests to determine unconsciousness or death are performed.
This amount of time was determined by veterinarians yet because these activists see some of these seals move after the procedures had taken place, they both assume that the seal is alive and that quite a few other seals must be alive as well after these procedures.
The anti-sealing groups have done their best to keep activists ignorant of the “swimming reflex”, a postmortem nervous response found in seals, but references on this common phenomenon can still be found in their documents, including the aforementioned March 2001 Veterinary Report :
“It is very difficult to determine loss of consciousness in any seal by observation. Swimming movements can be voluntary or involuntary. It is difficult to differentiate between involuntary reflex movement and conscious voluntary movement without assessing higher centre activity.” – Executive Summary, Page 1.
But of course science doesn’t appear to phase these aggressive anthropomorphists, who think the death of these seal must always be cruel.
The Canadian Institute for Business and the Environment alleges that from 1995 to 2001 the Canadian federal and provincial governments subsidized the seal hunt at $20 Million.
The HSUS claims that the six thousand fishermen that participate in the hunt should instead be re-trained.
So, according to these activists $20 million over six years is sufficient to not only train these six thousand fisherman, but to relocate these fishermen to the educational facilities of Newfoundland/Labrador.
That’s $555 per sealer, per year, over six years.
Of course they’ll try to pad the numbers with some alleged savings when it comes to the coast guard but even those “savings” don’t add up to a significant amount either. At most it would double the funds.
These sealers are fishermen so they’ve got jobs. And China is a booming market for them to sell their seals for their fur, meat and oil. So what exactly would compel Canada to drop the sealing industry ?
The HSUS want Canadians to be compelled by various boycotts. Yet they failed miserably with their most publicized boycott – The seafood boycott.
According to Statistics Canada our seafood exports have been in line with international trends since the Seafood Boycott began five years ago. And the value of Canada’s worldwide seafood exports have risen from 2007 to 2008, even without the cod exports and with the strong Canadian dollar.
If the HSUS statements in regards to the boycott’s success were true, the Canadian seafood exports would be going down every year, especially to the United States. But Canada sold 38 million dollars worth of seafood more to the states in 2008 compared to 2007 according to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
But then what else is to be expected from a group of people that thinks it makes sense to boycott an industry that employs over 130 thousand Canadians from coast to coast over the remote actions of a few sealers in Newfoundland/Labrador.
The EFSA report commissioned by the EU government does not establish a rate of non-conformity in regards to the humane killing of seals and recommends training for those that don’t follow the guidelines. The later couldn’t possibly cost more than a buyout of the industry and the re-education of sealers into different fields.
Out of desperation some of the activists have decided to use my user name on Youtube as a tag to get people to look at their pathetic propaganda videos.
I guess they’d rather do that than confront my comments, that they routinely delete in order to control the discussion.
Canadian Fisheries Minister Gail Shea was assaulted in Burlington, Ontario by a PETA member and there have been calls in government to investigate whether PETA qualifies as a terrorist organization in Canadian law.
The 37 year old New York female that assaulted the minister had previously been charged with trespassing last October in Charlottetown, PEI when PETA had disrupted a Fisheries Council of Canada function in that city.
But of course PETA is trying to downplay the assault.
In response to MP Gerry Byrne’s call for a clarification in law, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk stated “Mr. Byrne’s reaction is a silly, chest-beating exercise that is unlikely to impress anyone who has a heart for animals or who is bright enough to spot the difference between a bomb and a tofu cream pie…”
Well, apparently Ingrid Newkirk believes nobody will remember the group’s ties with convicted terrorist Rodney Coronado, and their funding of his legal defense fund in 1995.
The United States Department of Agriculture does consider PETA a “domestic special interest terrorist” in their Aphis Facility Security Profile form and according to subsection 83.01(1)(b) of our Criminal Code, PETA may qualify as a terrorist group.
These stunts do qualify as political and/or ideological in nature and are meant to intimidate “the public, or a segment of the public, with regard to its security, including its economic security, or compelling a person, a government or a domestic or an international organization to do or to refrain from doing any act, whether the public or the person, government or organization is inside or outside Canada”. And in situations involving the security of Canada’s public officials, these stunts have the potential to cause “serious risk to the health or safety of the public or any segment of the public”, regardless of the protester’s intent.
