The Anti-Sealing Troll’s Con Games Are Over

The troll is in his dying breaths but he’s such an idiot that he doesn’t know it yet.

He is currently stalking me from video to video trying to outrace the truth about how he had been suspended three times in the past two months by Youtube for numerous violations including :

• Spamming – 2010 Olympic Commercials
• Harassment – Multiple users including yours truly
• Impersonation – “canucktoons” account
• Threats – saying he would ruin my reputation with Youtube

He has lied about me being a sealer. I live in Ottawa.

He had lied about statements i’ve never made, something he regularly did with other people when their actual response wasn’t convenient for his arguments and stereotypes.

He had lied about having evidence that I work for the government. I have never worked for the government, nor are my close family employed in public service.

He has lied about me being a spammer and troll. I have an impeccable record with Youtube since joining in 2006 and I have been a member of CAUCE for over a decade.

He has lied about my use of my second account and have no other accounts other than my primary and secondary accounts on Youtube.

His statements about having debunked anything are pure fantasy, as his arguments are simply propagandist statements and personal attacks.

His record speaks for itself. The issue is closed.

From What Farm To What Fridge ?

There appears to be a new Vegan propaganda film circulating Youtube, entitled “From Farm To Fridge“.

It is of course a collection of gory footage, with the customary dramatic music and voice over. And like all vegan propaganda films it implies that the footage shown represents ALL operations and that the only way to end this alleged cruelty is a Vegan diet.

Well, they may not mention it in the film but different governments have different standards. And this fact voids their claim that the behavior shown in this random footage is representative of the industries mentioned in the film.

Instead of acknowledgments in regards to the tougher standards adopted in many states and provinces viewers are presented with a request to go Vegan at the end of this film, which of course makes the more media aware ask the following question ; From what farm to what fridge ?

The viewer is given very little information in regards to when and where this footage was filmed nor is any information given in regards to the current status of the operations featured in this film.

The film promises “truth” yet appears to provide the least amount of information and ends with a false dichotomy. I’d say it qualifies as propaganda.

A Video On Vegan Fallacies

These fallacies are of course used by animal rights activists because many of them are vegans, or claim to be vegan.

The Recent Polls On Japanese Whaling

If you click here you will read a blog entry about the latest polls on Japanese Whaling.

Yes, they were caught manipulating the numbers again.

They polled areas in Japan where whale consumption is the lowest in an attempt to use an appeal to popularity argument, which of course fails because it is a fallacy.

Whale may not be regularly consumed by the majority in the city of Tokyo but it is in the Wakayama prefecture. And a lack of consumption does not mean condemnation of this consumption either.

Basically they want one part of Japan to attack another, to get their way. And it isn’t working in Japan.

The only people this is working on are the impressionable and naive foreigners, who are so ignorant about the Japanese that they think only one culture exists in the whole country.

Tokyo may be Japan’s largest city but Taiji is over 500 kilometers away, in an entirely different prefecture. Anyone that bothered to look at a map would know this.

Where’s the Logic ?

Sea Shepherd is back playing their games in the media in regards to whaling.

In a desperate attempt to film footage for their upcoming Whale Wars series on the Faroe Islands, this group sailed to these islands to provoke the Fareose. But having failed to do this they now claim they have saved whales by their mere presence.

Well, whales were indeed hunted and killed in the fjords of these islands, none of which were deterred away from these fjords by Sea Shepherd. And seeing that this is a sustenance hunt, the Fareose were again able to get feed themselves.

Importing meat and produce into the most remote areas of this world is getting prohibitively expensive as fuel costs rise. But instead of funding shipments to the island people are sending funds to this FBI labeled terrorist group, which wastes fuel traveling to these islands to simply promote themselves.

The very few whales that are taken to feed people are no threat to the species so this group is not saving the species from extinction. The IUCN Red List entry on the long finned pilot whale states :

“The only current fishery for long-finned pilot whales is undertaken in the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Although this fishery has been actively pursued since the 9th century, catch levels have apparently not caused stock depletion”

This hunt may be bloody but so are slaughterhouses. And the growth of produce is impossible most of the year on this group of islands, so they will continue consuming the whale meat as directed by their government until further notice, regardless of the squeamishness of foreigners.

Sea Shepherd‘s posturing and opportunism changes nothing.

Man alive ! These guys lost the Farley Mowat, scuttled the Ady Gil and now they’ve had another ship impounded, this time in Scotland.

That’s right. They’re being sued over their attack on the Maltese for 1.5 million dollars.

I guess they’ll need to stop assuming every bluefish tuna operation is illegal. But chances are they wont. They desperately need to play pirate, to continue their charade.

SSCS Fan Racists On Youtube

I’ve just been blocked from commenting on an anti-sealing video on which I was subjected to abuse by several trolls, who decided to enlighten me with their wisdom :

“The “native” Americans? You mean the ones that would still be eating each other and raping and pillaging the land if it wasn’t for the white man bringing civility and education to them? We dont feed our 4 legged “friends” horse meat dumbass!”

Oh, he wasn’t finished :

“No true red blooded AMERICAN eats seal or whale or horse meat! Only the savage “natives” who still bitch and moan that the white man destroyed!”

He claims that wasn’t racist. Do you think it’s racist ? No, of course not. It’s meant to save seals so it isn’t.

He also inferred that I was homosexual to avoid responding to my statements or questions, whilst claiming that I was of Faroese descent, another target of their bigotry. That was a few hours after begrudging me for being Canadian and speaking french.

It is obvious that these people think they’re licensed to treat people like crap by the SSCS.

But I was asking for it, wasn’t I ? I dared provide evidence that seals and minke whales are not threatened (from the IUCN). I dared mention the general conclusions of the December 2007 EFSA report. I dared mention Paul Watson’s criticism of the anti-sealing groups in 1978.

BLASPHEMY !

Perhaps if I faked being shot by Japanese whalers I would be taken more seriously ? How about if I named myself Admiral and threw butyric acid around, claiming it’s only rotten butter ?

Yes, it appears that the only way one gets into a conversation with these people is by agreeing with them, entirely.

Bigotry and nodding heads galore !

No, it doesn’t matter that the SSCS mentions the very documents I mentioned on their web site. They can’t be read. They’re way too holy ! Only the (self-appointed) savior of the sea can, and everyone else, including the scientists at the EFSA and IUCN, are “pro-murder” !

Well, enough of my sarcasm. I’m guessing you got my point, as will everyone reading the comments found on that video.

This went on for hours, with the open approval of the videos author so this behavior is obviously condoned :

“As long as they are negative towards YOU, my pathetic, dumb-as-rocks little friend.”

That includes the graphic sexual statements and statements of violence towards sealers and Canadians in general.

Vegan Contempt Is No Response

Let’s start off with my definition of “vegan contempt”. If you are vegan and think that I am evil or selfish or a “murderer” because I don’t agree with you, then that is “vegan contempt”.

I am in no way obliged to subscribe to a westernized concept of “Karma” to discuss the issue nor am I obliged to be subjected to abuse for your atonement because my actions are irrelevant to this personal atonement.

That said, a vegan lifestyle does NOT address the killing of “sentient beings” as defined by Buddhism, which includes many forms of life that are killed during the production of fruits and vegetables, even in home gardens.

Some Vegans may be conformable being selective in claiming what is and isn’t sentient, to lessen their philosophical burden. But it is quite hypocritical to then accuse others of this act, so this is no real argument either.

This dubious morality is irrelevant anyway. If Veganism is the ultimate solution for the human race then it should be compatible with all climates. And is it not.

Living in a climate in which the growth of produce is limited does not make one selfish or evil. And even the most productive areas are subject to weather patterns that prevent growth from time to time.

Shipping vast amounts of produce to less productive climates is costly and impacts the environment whilst demanding individuals populate areas where Veganism is viable because of an Asian religious concept is cultural imperialism.

These facts are not changed by “vegan contempt”, nor are they changed by the biased interpretations of the data provided by the “China Study”, nor are they changed by dropping names of “famous” vegans.

This formulaic, fallacy based posturing adds nothing to the discussion, nor does it justify a self-congratulatory, sanctimonious attitude on the matter.

Emotional rhetoric and generalizations about the mass producers in no way addresses the fact that humans have been consuming meat without ill effect for centuries. And that it is the more than average consumption of red meat and processed meats that has been scientifically proven to be detrimental.

Prohibition against alcohol failed regardless of the morality based arguments because it can also be consumed in moderation. And this is why Veganism is no imperative.

Political Reality Check

This is for all of those anti-sealing “activists” asking Canadians to contact their local Member of Parliament and Prime Minister over the commercial seal hunt.

You’ve been asking for a decade and none of the major political parties oppose the commercial seal hunt. Don’t you think it’s rather odd, seeing that you claim the majority oppose the hunt ?

Have you not heard how miserably Senator Mac Herb’s bill went in the Senate ? How he wasn’t able to find a second Senator to get it past the first reading ? And how this was the first time a bill failed so miserably ?

Of course not. The American anti-sealing groups keep their supporters in the dark when it comes the the real political atmosphere in Canada.

They never discuss the fact that the majority of Atlantic Canadian residents support the hunt, even in the IFAW sponsored polls. They never discuss the fact that the current government and opposition support the hunt.

If you want to be taken seriously, learn about our political structure & processes. And where and when the commercial hunt happens.

Live by the Script, Die by the Script

I just got a call from someone claiming to be from the “Software Maintenance Department of Online PC Care“, who appeared to be concerned that I had an issue with my Windows machine.

With his thick accent he claimed to be “Mark Anderson” and claimed that my computer was downloading material without my knowledge.

Well, having received calls like this before I decided to waste his time. And I encourage you to do the same by following my script :

• Are you calling on behalf of Microsoft ? If so, what is my primary operating system and service pack. (response : “no” or random guess)
• Are you calling on behalf of my internet provider ? If so, what is the name of my internet provider ? (response : “no” or random guess)

This is where they’ll say they’re calling people in your city who use Windows, to inform them of an issue, and will ask you to go to your computer for five minutes.

• What is the problem ? (they will claim that unwanted software installed on your computer is downloading material without your knowledge)

OH MY ! Help me random foreigner !

• I have a virus program and firewall installed. Is this a new trojan ? (response : It isn’t a virus or trojan)
• Then it’s a malware or spyware program ? (response : It isn’t a malware or spyware program)

Well, of course you should know that he’s a con artist by now, regardless of his convincing English name (/sarcasm).

Software programs that run on your system and download files without your knowledge, that aren’t part of the operating system are by definition malware or spyware.

• Wouldn’t this issue be addressed by Microsoft itself in one of their updates ?

Get your boots. The crap gets pretty thick from here. He desperately wants you in front of your computer for five minutes, to get you to alter some settings to do God knows what with your system.

• Just for security please give me my name, address. (they got that wrong for me and even claimed I was in the “state” of Ontario)
• And where did you get my address from ? (they got it from the phone book and/or some telemarketer list)
• So, how exactly is this getting by my virus detection software ? Wouldn’t it be detected because it’s a security threat ? (responses: It isn’t a security threat and/or statement that the issue isn’t caused by malware, spyware, trojans or viruses)
• Then why is it an issue ? Why are you calling people in my city to inform them of this ?

There’s no real response to that so you will probably be asked if you want to be transferred to a supervisor.

After getting transferred you can either jerk their chain by starting the script over or by asking him to answer the last two questions.

I personally went for another logical question that the supervisor couldn’t answer : “I pay for additional security via my internet provider. Why wouldn’t they know about this problem ?”

They of course ran out of patience with me and hung up after that question, just shy of 16 minutes into the call.

I’m hoping that they’ll be smart and take me off their lists. I’m ready to waste more of their time if they don’t.

Hmm. Perhaps I should start talking french to them if they call me again. After all, french is an official language here. And I could subject them to a thick french accent so they know exactly how I feel when they call me.
